Royce Taylor began his ministry at Lavon Drive in November of 2018, as the Outreach Pastor. Before coming to Lavon Drive, Pastor Royce served at Power House Church in Brownsville, Texas, for eight years, finishing his tenure there as the Church Evangelist and Youth Pastor of Reset Youth Ministry. There, the Lord used Pastor Royce to build a strong Youth Department that had a passion for outreach and servitude. Royce was reached with the Gospel through the Bus Ministry of Bethel Baptist Church near Tacoma, Washington, on August 2, 1991, at 10 years of age. On that same day, Royce believed God was working in his heart to serve the Lord for the rest of his life. During a youth rally in Seattle in the summer of 1997, Royce surrendered to that calling. He has a burning passion to reach the lost and disciple new believers. Royce serves with his wife Trini in the Bus Ministry and in their community group “Journey Together.” He also volunteers his time helping in Real Life Youth Ministry.
Pastor Royce and Trini have been married since 2007. Trini works for Launchpad Learning Center as an administrative assistant. The Taylors have three children: Royce, Trishelle, and Tyson, who all attend Garland Christian Academy. In his spare time, Pastor Royce enjoys family time, socializing with people, and most athletic activities.
